Impact

SDSN Switzerland work on the big levers to drive the shift towards a sustainable future and to promote the implementation of the global Sustainable Development Goals. For this, the network relies on continuous exchange of knowledge, ideas, experiences among its members, partner organizations and other stakeholders from science, civil society, public sector and business. SDSN Switzerland creates innovative dialog and cooperation formats and supports the development of science-based and cross-sectoral solutions. With publications such as recommendations for action, the network raises awareness of the 2030 Agenda among decision-makers from politics, business and society.

SDSN Switzerland financially supports up to three solution initiatives each year. These are projects in which two or more SDSN members collaborate to contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

SDSN Switzerland has launched the first priority project for Switzerland’s food future.

SDSN Switzerland initiated the establishment of the Parliamentary Group on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and runs its secretariat. The Swiss parliament previously lacked mechanisms for implementing the SDGs. The Parliamentary Group on the 2030 SDGs is the only cross-party dialogue forum to date.
